The Regional Transportation District in Denver, Colorado, is a system of over 130 light rail and bus routes that transport people around the metro area. The light rail system has six lines as of 2015, and four new lines are opening in 2016.
The RTD website has a trip planner for riders to use to determine which light rail lines or bus routes arrive at their destinations. Light rail riders purchase tickets at ticket vending machines, and the machines calculate the price when riders enter their beginning and ending destinations. Day Passes are good for unlimited bus and rail rides. The 10-Ride Ticket Books are for people visiting Denver for short stays.
