Some of the recreational options on the Withlacoochee River in Florida include canoe paddling and fishing. Withlacoochee River Park provides a canoe launch and fishing pier. A license is required for fishing. The 260-acre park is open every day from sunrise to sunset.
Paved roads are available for inline skating and bicycling. The park's other facilities include a picnic pavilion, playgrounds, recreation field and a 40-foot observation tower. The Great Florida Birding Trail is located in the western part of the park. With a permit, camping is allowed in various locations. The Florida Trail Association maintains 5.2 miles of hiking trails.
