Senior travel groups include adventure groups, such as 50 Plus Expeditions, Elder Treks and Row Adventures; volunteer groups, including American Hiking Society and Handsup Holidays; and learning groups, such as Elderhostel and The Learning Traveler. Traveling in a group offers many advantages.
Offering cultural adventures in over 100 countries throughout the world, Elder Treks features trips for people age 50 and older in compact groups. Land excursions accommodate no more than 16 travelers on a trip, while the organization charters expedition ships instead of cruise ships in order to offer more personalized interaction and leave less of an impact on ports visited. Trips include food, accommodations, entrance fees, tips and transportation.
