Rate information for the Long Island Rail Road is found on the website of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Information is available for specific trips, but a map showing all stations and fare zones is also offered.
On one MTA page, customers are able to find information about schedules and fares by inputting the beginning and ending station, date and time. Clicking on the Fare button accesses the cost of buying a ticket at the station, on the train and online. Peak, off-peak and multiple fares are listed, as well.
The LIRR map categorizes stations into fare zones. For each zone, a variety of fares are displayed, such as monthly, weekly and one-way.
