Florida is home to a number of major attractions such as Disney World and Universal Studios, and popular activities include going to beaches, water sports and nightlife. The Kennedy Space Center is also located in Florida, as well as Sea World, making it a haven for theme parks.
Because of its location, Florida enjoys a temperate climate during the winter months, which means that many water sports like parasailing, speedboating and scuba diving can still be enjoyed. During summer, Florida has a tropical climate, making it perfect for sunbathing, surfing and other beach related sports.
Florida is also home to Daytona Beach, the epicenter of stock car racing. Visiting the track to tour behind the scenes is equally as popular as a visit to watch one of the many races.
Busch Gardens theme park, also found in Tampa, has a collection of exotic animals in addition to the many rides on offer. Adventure Island, a waterpark, is also located nearby.
While Florida is perhaps best known for the huge amount of theme parks and tourist attractions, there is a vibrant culinary scene to be found as well, especially in Miami. Due to large populations of South American and Caribbean immigrants, there are numerous specialty restaurants in Miami that are popular with both local residents and visitors alike.
