New Jersey's Ocean City boardwalk is 2.5 miles long and runs the length of the beach facing the Atlantic Ocean, from St. James Place to 23rd Street. Its attractions include two family amusement parks, the Music Pier, a water park, miniature golf courses and many restaurants. The boardwalk is popular with local joggers, cyclists and tourists.
The lesser-known Ocean City boardwalk in Maryland, built in 1902, is also 2.5 miles long.
