Niagara Falls is situated on the border of the Canadian providence of Ontario and the state of New York. The Falls consist of three waterfalls: the American Falls, the Bridal Veil Falls and Horseshoe Falls.
Horseshoe Falls is the largest of the three waterfalls, while Bridal Veil Falls is the smallest. Niagara Falls has the largest flow rate of any waterfall worldwide. Glaciers formed Niagara Falls several thousands of years ago. As of 2014, scientists believe that Niagara Falls may no longer exist in about 50,000 years because of erosion. Niagara Falls State Park has been in existence since 1885 and is the oldest state park in the United States.
