Forbes notes that in 2012, Buckingham Palace was estimated to be worth approximately $5 billion. According to Forbes, real estate firm Savills noted that no property of Buckingham Palace's historical significance, period features and caliber has ever been listed in Central London, potentially making the palace "priceless."
Forbes notes that properties also located in Central London sold for approximately 7,000 GBP per square foot in 2012, a figure used to help estimate the value of the palace. Buckingham Palace has 775 rooms, including 52 bedrooms and 188 staff bedrooms. The palace is owned by the British nation for use by the Royal Family.
