Its most profitable exports are centered on manufacturing, specifically the production of machinery, and electronics, such as televisions and cars.
Mexico has a lower minimum wage than countries like the U.S., as well as numerous government-imposed incentives for foreign businesses looking to reduce their manufacturing costs. This results in a significantly lower cost, per unit, in Mexican manufacturing plants compared to other countries, leading many businesses to outsource manufacturing to Mexico.
