Santa Claus, as he is known in popular culture, is believed to live at the North Pole. The North Pole is the northern-most point on Earth. The North Pole is at latitude 90 degrees North and longitude 0 degrees West.
The home of Santa Claus is not actually visible on any map, as there is no permanent land at the sight. There is, however, a floating Arctic ice sheet. The North Pole is situated between Greenland and Svalbard, a Norwegian archipelago. The first mention of the North Pole as Santa Claus' home was in the 1822 poem "'Twas the Night Before Christmas."
