Costa Crociere operates 26 ships, as of September 2015, with an additional three new ships joining the fleet in 2016. The company, which is headquartered in Genoa, Italy, comprises of the three brands - Costa Cruises, AIDA Cruises and Iberocruceros - and is part of Carnival Corporation.
Costa Cruises, which is Europe's largest European cruise operator, sails a fleet of 15 cruise ships to a number of destinations including the Caribbean, South America and the Mediterranean. Costa Cruises appeals to a European and North American market, depending upon the route and destination. AIDA cruise ships cater more for the German-speaking tourist market and Iberocruceros caters for Spanish-speaking tourists.
