There are a total of 11 gates at Terminal One of the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City, N.Y., from which various international airlines operate. Some of the airlines that operate from Terminal 1 include Aeroflot, Air China, Airo Mexico, Air France, Alitalia, Japan Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Korean Air, Lufthansa and Saudi Arabian Airlines.
Terminal One was opened in 1998 under the direction of the Terminal One Group that is comprised of four partner airlines: Air France, Japan Airlines, Korean Air and Lufthansa. The terminal serves wide body, narrow body, as well as Airbus A380 and New Large Aircraft, or NLA. Its ramp control tower includes radio communication, gate video cameras and weather information facilities.
