Registered guests and campers have free access to the swimming pool by the dining lodge, a volleyball court, a horseshoe pit and playgrounds. There are 30 walk-in family campsites with pit latrines, and tent-only group camps are available by reservation.

Hocking Hills State Park is a 2,356-acre park with natural features such as waterfalls, deep hemlock gorges and towering cliffs. The park provides a range of recreational opportunities, including an archery range, fishing at the 17-acre Rose Lake (with valid Ohio fishing license), hunting, picnicking and swimming. There are nine hiking trails within Hocking Hills. The Hocking Hills Dining Lodge Restaurant is open year-round.
