One way to get to Disneyland from the Los Angeles International Airport is via the Disneyland Resort Express. The buses stop at the center island passenger pick-up point, just outside the baggage claim area in each terminal. The buses sport the "Cars" movie motif, as of 2015. The full-size, restroom equipped buses operate daily, roughly from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. No reservations are needed, but tickets may be pre-purchased online.Continue Reading
Other shuttle, taxi and limousine services offer shared and private rides to the Disney Resort area. Limos charge a flat fee for up to a certain number of passengers and should be reserved before arrival at LAX. Shared ride vans stop at the orange "Shared Ride Vans" signs just outside of baggage claim. Companies such as Prime Time Shuttle and SuperShuttle require advanced reservations so they can coordinate riders that are going in the same direction. Taxis are available at the yellow "Taxis" signs and also outside of baggage claim.
It's possible to take the Los Angeles Metro rail and bus lines from LAX to Disneyland, but travelers with a lot of luggage might not find this practical. Take the "G" shuttle to the Aviation Station platform, and board the Metro Rail Green Line. Get off at the Norwalk Station, and take the Metro Express Bus 460 to Disneyland.
Renting a car is another option. Shuttles stop at the purple "Rental Car Shuttle" signs and transport passengers to the Off-Airport Rental Car Terminal. It's roughly 35 miles from LAX to Disneyland, or about a 45 minute drive, unless it's during the morning or afternoon commute.Learn more about Geography
