Cabins at Lake Murray, Oklahoma, range from small cottage-style cabins to large structures suitable for whole families. Each style is available for rent as a floating cabin on Lake Murray or a standard unit within the surrounding state park.
The park's 56 cabins are distributed across 12,500 acres along the shore of Lake Murray. Some of the cabins were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, while others are more contemporary, featuring kitchenettes. For a small fee, those staying in the cabins are permitted to bring their pets.
As of 2015, Lake Murray Floating Cabins, formerly known as Lake Murray Bed & Berth, offers luxury floating cabins for rent. These units feature living rooms with panoramic views, vaulted ceilings, knotty pine interiors and circular stairs leading to sleeping lots. Catwalks stretch from the lofts over the living rooms to balconies. In addition, these cabins include fully-equipped kitchens, two full-size bathrooms with showers and two master bedrooms, each with a large closet. Those with personal watercraft and pontoon boats are permitted to moor them at their doorsteps.
Lake Murray Floating Cabins and standard units are available for rent year-round. Both styles are close to hiking trails, water sports, a golf course and restaurants.
