Kenya covers an area of approximately 582650 square miles. Nearly 7,000 square miles of Kenya is water, which includes Lake Turkana. The Indian Ocean also borders Kenya, and its capital city is Nairobi, which is also its most populated city and the largest in terms of size. Kenya experienced a significant population growth that resulted in the country's number of citizens growing from 3 to 44 million within an 80-year period.
