Some major attractions in Des Moines include the State Historical Museum of Iowa, Prairie Meadows Casino and Racetrack, the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden and Adventureland Park. Ecotourism is a major draw to the city, as is shopping at venues such as the West Glen Town Center and Historic East Village. Many other activities are available for families, and there is also a good selection of bars and nightclubs for adults.
Cedar Rapids is Iowa's second-largest city and has a comparable selection of activities. Some highlights for visitors are the Cedar Rapids Science and Technology Museum, The Carl & Mary Koehler History Center and the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art.
