As of 2015, there are two indoor water parks in North Carolina, according to UltimateWaterpark.com and USA Today: Great Wolf Lodge in Concord and Ray's Splash Planet in Charlotte. Great Wolf Lodge includes three swimming pools and 12 water slides.
One of Great Wolf Lodge's most popular attractions is the four-story tree house, where a 1000-gallon bucket tips water on visitors at certain times during the day. Ray's Splash Planet is located on the grounds of Irwin Avenue Open Elementary School. It boasts the three-story Blue Comet water slide and a lazy river, and also includes a fitness center just outside the water park.
