The Jardines del Rey Airport is an international airport allowing visitors to land directly on the island. Prior to its construction, air travelers had to land on the mainland at Máximo Gómez Airport near Móron.
The dozen or so resorts and hotels are also important locations. They provide about 5,000 rooms, with plans to add 27,000 more, as of 2015.
