Mid-September through the end of October is the best time to see fall colors in Michigan, according to the official Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Fall colors are abundant since Michigan includes 19 million acres of woods. In addition to viewing fall foliage, other popular autumn activities in Michigan include visiting apple orchards, hiking, mountain biking and hunting.
