On Stingray Beach, visitors have the chance to swim among the stingrays and interact with them, including touching these elegant sea creatures. As of August 2015, advance reservations are required for this attraction.
El Cedral is a small Mayan ruin close to Cozumel. This site dates back to around A.D. 800. Visitors get a sense of what Mayan life was like as they tour this small ruin. Guests can expect to find a few vendors offering snacks and trinkets even though there is not a permanent shop or restaurant.
Chankanaab Beach Adventure Park features a reef and lagoon, underwater statues, a zip line, a sea lion show and other activities. This adventure park is located in the Chankanaab National Park. Visitors can enjoy a glass-bottom kayak tour or a dolphin discovery adventure. This beach park offers a variety of amenities, including food, beach chairs, life vests and restrooms.
The San Gervasio ruins were once dedicated to Mayan goddess Ixchel and date back to 100 B.C. Through the centuries, women traveled here for blessings of fertility. Today, the site features a variety of buildings to explore in a beautiful and natural setting.
