Germany is in central Europe and is bordered by Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland and Switzerland. It is also bordered by the Baltic and North seas.

Among Germany's natural resources are coal, natural gas, copper and uranium. The country's coastline is 2,389 kilometers long and provides entryway into the Baltic Sea. Germany's highest point is Zugspitze at 2,963 meters, and its lowest point is Neuendorf bei Wilster at negative 3.54 meters.
