What Is a Geopolitical Community?
Last Updated Apr 10, 2020 4:32:29 AM ET
Geopolitical community refers to a region studied for its political views that guide the government, the economy, local and foreign policy and laws. It is usually applied in terms of international politics and refers to an entire nation, though by definition geopolitics is not strictly international.
In geopolitics, the influence of geography on an area's politics is considered in order to better understand how and why ideas have developed in respect to how the people in that area view the rest of the world, as well as their position in it in order to devise plans for how to proceed with or develop relationships with that area.
