Ethanol-free gasoline is available in select locations in Texas. These stations are predominantly in the northern half of Texas. Pure-gas.org provides a comprehensive list of these stations. The list available from Pure-gas.org provides the brand, the name of the business and its address. It provides a link to Google Maps.
Because the information reported can change frequently, testing the fuel before buying is the only way to be sure. Mark a test tube 2 inches from the bottom. Add water to the test tube up to this line, and then fill the rest with gasoline. Cover and shake the tube. Ethanol mixes with the water and separates out from the gasoline. If the water level is higher than the 2-inch mark, the gasoline contains ethanol.
