The cost of repair at a Garmin GPS repair shop can vary based on the product in need of repair. The Garmin website, Garmin.com, allows the consumer to select the exact product and then returns a repair rate.
For example, the website returns a $250 repair cost for a GPSMAP 547 as of March 2015. These costs also include the shipping and handling if the consumer is sending the product away. On the other hand, a GPS 72 model only costs $99 for repair. The repair generally costs more on a newer model and less for one that has been around for some time. Any Garmin product has a one-year warranty, so if the product is within that time frame, there is no cost. Additionally, all repairs come with a 90-day warranty.
