Some fun activities in Reno, Nevada, are visiting the Truckee River Whitewater Park, National Automobile Museum, Nevada Museum of Art and Reno Philharmonic Orchestra. A Wild River Grille, Anchors Bar and Grill and Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar are among the many restaurants within the city.
Truckee River Whitewater Park offers boating and water fun using kayaks, canoes, rafts and inner tubes, and the park land has an amphitheater and ample space for picnics. The National Automobile Museum houses both ongoing and temporary exhibits, examples of the former being the 1908 New York to Paris Automobile Race, Celebrity Autos, Tools and Tales by Henry Ford, and Snapshots: Painting by Robert Cinkel and Bill Harrah. The museum also hosts banquets, educational events and family activities.
The Nevada Museum of Art's permanent collection includes The Altered Landscape Carol Frank Buck Collection, the Robert S. and Dorothy J. Keyser Art of the Greater West Collection and the E. L. Wiegand Work Ethic in American Art Collection. Periodic exhibitions also find their way to the museum.
The Reno Philharmonic Orchestra performs both standard works from the classical repertoire as well as several special events such as Young People's Concerts, RPA Kids, family concerts and Discover Music
