Some fun things to do at the great Blue Hole off the coast of Belize include scuba diving, fishing, sailing, parasailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, canoeing, kayaking and snorkeling. Visitors relax and sunbathe on Belize's sandy beaches and hike into the lush jungle to see exotic plants and wildlife. Birdwatching, sightseeing and shopping are some other fun activities.
The sinkhole's clear water is home to numerous species of fish, colorful coral formations and other ocean life. Scuba divers encounter several types of reef sharks and get close-up looks at fascinating creatures, such as the giant grouper.
