The Mark Twain Boyhood House was the childhood residence of renowned author Samuel Clemens. The museum contains interactive exhibits highlighting the life and work of the Clemens family. Tickets to the house and museum also give visitors access to the Huckleberry Finn House, Becky Thatcher House and the J.M. Clemens Justice of the Peace Office.
The Mark Twain Cave hosts guided tours that take visitors on an hour-long journey through Missouri's first show cave. A winery and campground is also available on location. The Mark Twain Riverboat offers hour-long cruises along the Mississippi River as an on-board interpreter gives the history and lore of the area. The tour passes Jackson's Island and other story landmarks. Dinner, beverages and live entertainment are available at certain times on the cruise.
Rockcliffe Mansion sits high on a bluff overlooking Hannibal and the Mississippi. It was home to John J. Cruikshank, who gave the house a distinctive art nouveau character. Much of the architecture and original furnishings are still intact.Learn more about Geography
