The maximum size for a carry-on bag is 24 inches tall by 10 inches wide by 16 inches long. Travelers on a Classic Plus ticket or EarlyReturns Elite members get a free carry-on bag. Others pay a fee ranging from $30 to $50, as of April 2015, depending on when the fee is paid. Paying online is the cheapest option.

Checking a bag is cheaper than paying for a carry-on bag. The fee for the first checked bag is between $20 and $25, the second bag costs $30 and the third bag costs $75. Classic Plus travelers get one free checked bag.

Checked bags have a maximum size of 62 inches for the overall dimensions and a maximum weight of 50 pounds. Larger bags have an additional fee. Frontier does not allow any bags heavier than 100 pounds or larger than 110 inches.
