Visitors can enjoy parks, historical sites and memorials in Friendswood, Texas, including Frankie Carter Rudolph Park, the Frank J. Brown Museum and the Kemah Boardwalk. There are also plenty of amusement parks and dude ranches that are suitable for families.
Visitors can walk along the natural trails of the Frankie Carter Randolph Park or play a game of tennis in one of the park's courts. There are also ball fields, a volleyball court and a playground. Stevenson Park offers joggers a place to run as well as ball courts and a swimming pool. This park also frequently hosts live music and concerts.
Other local attractions include the Frank J. Brown Museum and the 1903 Perry Mason. A little further afield, but within a half-hour drive, are the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Museum of Printing History and the Heritage Park and Museum. The latter contains the Strawberry House and Pomeroy House.
Both adults and children can enjoy the Kemah Boardwalk, which comprises 60 acres of rides and games abutting the Galveston Bay. The boardwalk also has 10 restaurants. The park offers rain forest and reef exhibits, the latter of which allows interaction with marine life. Some other attractions include Moody Gardens with an aquarium and IMAX theater, Pirates Bay Water Park and InterActive Theater Company.
