The entire region of Central America also lies in the Northern hemisphere. A major part of South America, parts of Africa and the whole of Australia are in the Southern hemisphere. The Southern hemisphere is covered by a greater mass of water, including the South Atlantic Ocean, parts of the Indian and Pacific Oceans.
