Fields of the Wood is a biblical theme park run by the Church of God of Prophecy. The park is located off of Highway 294 in western North Carolina, near the Tennessee border. It features a number of biblically themed attractions, including a replica of Golgotha, a baptismal pool and a replica of Jesus' tomb. The park's most recognizable attraction is the world's largest version of the Ten Commandments, which are written in concrete on the side of Burger Mountain.
Ten Commandments Mountain is the most popular attraction at Fields of the Wood. Each letter in the monument is made of concrete, and stands 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide. The monument itself is 300 feet wide. Visitors can climb to the top via a long set of stairs. Just above the monument sits the New Testament Outlook, which provides panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
The baptismal pool at Fields of the Wood is available for baptisms during the summer months. The park also features the All Nations Cross, which is bordered by a row of international flags. Fields of the Wood also features a gift shop and a cafe.
Fields of the Wood welcomes people of all religions. The park offers free admission to all visitors, as of November 2015.
