What Are Some of the Features of the Wilderness Resort in Disney World?

As of 2015, some of the features of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground include cabins for rent, campsites for RVs and tents, the Settlement Trading Post, the Meadows Trading Post and the Meadows Recreation Area. The nightly Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review offers family-friendly, western style entertainment.

The resort sits on 750 forested acres between the Magic Kingdom and Epcot Center. Shuttles are available to the Disney parks. The cabins are rustic but comfortably appointed, and include a charcoal grill and picnic table on a private deck. Cabins accommodate up to six guests.

The campground can accommodate even the largest bus-style Class A rigs, and offer water, electric and sewer hook-ups. The campsites are tucked beneath the trees, and each site has its own picnic table and charcoal grill. Restrooms, private showers and a laundry room are available.

Groceries and gifts are available at the Settlement Trading Post, while the Bike Barn at the Meadows Recreation Area offers bike, canoe and paddleboat rentals. The swimming pools are near the Meadow Trading Post. Other activities include horseback riding, fishing, nightly hay rides and an on-site petting farm.

The Trails End Restaurant is a buffet style eatery offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is also a dinner show, with three shows nightly.
