The Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, Florida, features exhibitions, performances, films, programs and artist concert series. The artist concert series features primarily classical music programming, including voice, piano and other instruments. The series places an emphasis on recitals and small ensembles and focuses on the presentation of emerging artists while presenting nationally and internationally recognized performers.
As of 2015, films shown at the museum include "Everyman," "Beaux' Stratagem," "Coriolanus," "Behind the Beautiful Forevers" and "Jane Eyre." For some shows, tickets are available to the public with museum members receiving a discount. Some films are available to members only.
The antiquities collection feature objects such as ancient glass fragments, Amphora, statues, stamps and terracotta bowls. The museum's Asian art includes stone Buddhist sculptures from Gandhara, Chinese ceramics from all periods of China’s history, Japanese woodblock prints and Vietnamese, Thai and Korean ceramics. The European and American art collections feature artists such as Peter Paul Rubens, Francesco Guardi, Salvator Rosa and Frans Snyders.
