What Is a Famous Landmark in Jamaica?
One of Jamaica’s most popular landmarks is Dunn’s River Falls located in Ocho Rios. Visitors can climb the 600-foot falls by using the natural ledges as steps with the assistance of a guide.
Climbing the falls can be difficult. Guides instruct groups to hold hands and create a human chain while ascending the falls. At the top of the falls, there is a Jamaican market offering various handmade items and local cuisine. For the enjoyment of guests not able or willing to climb the falls, there is an observation deck and beach area. Dunn’s River Falls is one of the few waterfalls in the world that empties into the sea.
