Horseshoe Falls is mainly on Canadian land. The falls are located on the Niagara River, which flows from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario. The Horseshoe Falls drops approximately 188 feet. Niagara Falls is a popular tourist destination, with the boat tour Maid of the Mist operating since 1846.
