Europe is home to both arid and semi-arid deserts, the three major ones being Accona Desert, Oltenia Sahara and Tabernas Desert. The Accona Desert is in Tuscany, Italy, with dome-shaped white dunes. It is a semi-arid desert with similar flora and fauna to other deserts.
Oltenia Sahara is desertification due to deforestation and is Europe's largest desert, giving it the "Sahara" title. It is located in Oltenia, a Romanian province, and covers approximately 800 square kilometers. Tabernas Desert is located in Spain in the province of Almeria and covers approximately 280 square kilometers. The Tabernas Desert has very little vegetation and scarce animal life.
