Most of the casinos in Reno are in a loose cluster downtown. Aside from the usual gambling options, each has their own unique entertainment offerings. Live performances take place at Silver Legacy, the Eldorado and Harrah's. The Cal-Neva hosts regular beer pong competitions aimed mostly at local college students, and Circus Circus has more family-friendly entertainment, including a midway with children's games and regular free performances. Downtown is also home to the National Bowling Stadium, a bowling megaplex that regularly hosts competitions, the National Automobile Museum, and the Knitting Factory, a popular concert venue.
The outlying casinos, such as Grand Sierra Resort, Atlantis and The Peppermill, are considered more upscale. The Peppermill and Atlantis have full-service spas and pitch themselves as luxury vacation destinations, while the Grand Sierra Resort has a wide array of entertainment, including a discount movie theater, a go-kart track and a bungee thrill ride.
