The Global Entry program is only available to residents of certain countries, including the United States, South Korea, Germany, Panama, Mexico and Denmark. Canada residents are eligible for the NEXUS program, which offers the same benefits, according to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
To apply for the program, applicants must verify the eligibility requirements listed at the Global Entry website. Applicants are required to pre-enroll online, pay the application fee, conduct an interview at an enrollment center, provide their fingerprints and verify their identification with a valid passport or lawful permanent resident card.
Reasons that applicants may be denied include providing false information on the application, having a criminal record, being involved in an ongoing investigation or unable to be verified as a low-risk applicant.
Applicants who are under the age of 18 are eligible for the program, but they must have the consent of their parent or legal guardian and pass the same eligibility requirements.Learn more about Geography
