The Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow homeschooling program in Ohio requires that students must meet age requirements, be a resident of Ohio and attend 25 hours of school weekly during the school year. Students must pass all state tests, including the Ohio Graduation Test in order to graduate.
To enroll in ECOT, request an enrollment package from the official website or by calling the toll-free number. When the package arrives, complete all the paperwork, and gather and copy all requested documents. Return everything to ECOT in the postage-paid envelop provided in the package. Once ECOT has received and reviewed the completed paperwork and supporting documentation, it sends out an acceptance letter.
If there are missing documents or parts of the application are left blank, it hinders the process and takes more time. If everything is satisfactory, you receive an acceptance letter within three to five days of acceptance.
When the acceptance letter arrives, log on to the ECOT IQity system using your username and password. If you requested a computer, wait for it to arrive and be set up to log in. Do not withdraw from a previous school until after the first log-in session to the ECOT IQity system. ECOT is fully accredited.
