Marriott Rewards points are earned by spending money at Marriott brand hotels and a number of worldwide Ritz-Carlton establishments. Marriott Rewards points can also be earned by making purchases with a Marriott Rewards credit card from Chase.
The Marriott Rewards Premier Credit Card credits customers with 5 points for each dollar spent at any Marriott location and 2 points for each dollar spent on hospitality and tourist expenses, including restaurants, rental cars and airline tickets when purchased directly from the airline. One Marriott Rewards point is credited for each dollar spent on any other type of purchase. Marriott Rewards Business Credit Cards have the same reward scheme, except that 2 points are also credited to customers for every dollar spent on business-related expenses, such as office supplies, Internet connections and phone services.
