Dubai is located near the northern tip of the United Arab Emirates, on the Persian Gulf near the Arabian Sea. Neighboring countries include Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iran and Pakistan.
On a map, it may be easiest to look for India first, then look west across the Arabian Sea to Oman. Dubai is near the point that extends out between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, near the northernmost part of Oman. Dubai is a member of the United Arab Emirates, which are collectively bordered by Oman and Saudi Arabia. As of 2015, it is the most populous metropolitan area of the UAE.
