The Decatur Swap Meet is an annual event at Wise County Fair Grounds, the largest of its kind in the south central United States. Vendors at the event sell auto-related items.
The first Decatur Swap Meet took place in 1975, and the 41st annual event is expected to take place in February 2016. More than 3,000 vendors have spaces at the swap meet to sell items. Not all items have to be auto-related, but a minimum of 80 percent must be related to the auto industry.
The Decatur Swap Meet is a free event that takes place regardless of the weather. Local and national businesses operate many indoor and outdoor stalls, and car restorers, parts vendors and businesses such as Classic Chevrolet Parts sell their items and share their knowledge with car enthusiasts.
