The Cushman Motor Scooter Museum in Concord, North Carolina is geared towards adults, but children interested automobile history can enjoy it as well. The museum is housed on the second floor of the Dennis Carpenter Ford Restoration Parts.
The museum houses a private collection of scooters from the 1930s through 1965, when the Cushman Company stopped making scooters. Highlights of the collection include scooters with parachute clips used to support World War Two airborne division troops.
The store next to the museum sells scooter parts as well as scooters from the collection. Visitors recommend at least two hours to view the museum, which also houses other small vehicles.
