Mechanicsburg is a borough located in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. The borough was incorporated in 1828, and as of the 2010 US census, has a population of approximately 8,981. Mechanicsburg holds many historical railroad sites such as Passenger Station, Union Church and The Stationmaster's House.
The mayor of Mechanicsburg is Jack Ritter, as of 2015. Mechanicsburg was named after a settlement that repaired and made wagons. The borough is made up of only 2.41 square miles of land, but is rich in history.
