What Continent Is China On?
China is on the continent of Asia. It is situated on the southeastern section of Asia with an extensive shoreline on the Yellow Sea, Korea Bay, East China Sea and South China Sea.
China covers 3,705,407 square miles, or 9,596,961 square kilometers, and extends deep into the interior of the Asian continent. It has the longest and border in the world, touching the countries of Afghanistan, Bhutan, Myanmar, India, Kazakhstan, North Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Vietnam. This border stretches for 13,743 miles, or 22,117 kilometers. Because it is so large, China includes a diversity of environments, from deserts in the northwest to rain forests in the south.
