Wyndham Vacation Ownership offers time shares through seven different companies. These companies include Club Wyndham, WorldMark by Wyndham, Club Wyndham Asia, WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham and Shell Vacations Club. It also includes Margaritaville Vacation Club by Wyndham, and Wyndham Club Brasil.
Vacation ownership, also referred to as time-share ownership, is a system of shared ownership of a property. Wyndham Vacation Ownership is the world's largest vacation ownership business.
In 1991, Wyndham introduced a points-based model of time-share ownership. In this system, owners purchase or accumulate points that they can redeem for vacations at any of the company properties, rather than having an annually designated week at a particular resort. The point value of their stay is dependent on the timing and duration of the trip and the property location, among other considerations.
Wyndham owns approximately 24,000 vacation ownership units at over 200 resorts throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and the South Pacific.
