Club Sobeys allowed customers to earn points for their purchases and redeem those points for rewards such as grocery vouchers. The new AIR MILES program offers similar rewards, but points collected under the former Club Sobeys program did not transfer to it automatically. Sobeys customers had until December 2014 to either spend their existing points or convert them to AIR MILES.

As of May 2015, every $20 in purchases at Sobeys store earns one reward mile. Bonus reward miles are also periodically available on select products. Customers also get seven times the reward miles when filling a prescription at the pharmacy. Members also earn extra reward miles through the use of BMO Sobeys AIR MILES MasterCards.

A minimum of 95 reward miles are redeemable for $10 in free groceries at Sobey's. AIR MILES also offers a variety of travel discounts and merchandise in return for reward miles. Some Safeway and Safeway Wine and Spirits stores as well as at Thrifty Foods and Edgemont Market locations in British Columbia also offer the AIR MILES program.
