Cruises can check in online at Royal Caribbean's website no later than three days prior to each sailing. To complete the online check-in process, customers need to enter their reservation number, sailing date, emergency contact information and a credit card for on-board expenses. Once online check-in is completed, cruisers can print a SetSail Pass and enjoy expedited check-in when arriving at the pier.

If a customer does not complete online check-in, he must arrive at the pier at least two hours before the scheduled sailing time. If online check-in was completed, a customer must arrive at least 90 minutes before sailing. Check-in and wait times vary based on the port, ship capacity and other factors.

During the in-person check-in process, the customer presents a passport or other photo identification and verifies his personal and contact information. A photo is taken for identification purposes on the ship, and the customer is given a SetSail pass and allowed to board the ship.
