The status of EL AL flights can be checked on the airline's website or on third party websites such as FlightAware.com. Flight status may also be checked on most airport websites, either for a specific flight or for all flights in a given time frame.
EL AL has two ways to check flight status online. One is to use the Flight Updates webpage, which brings up a list of arriving and departing flights. Departing flights show as landed if they've arrived at their destination and blank if not. Clicking on the drop down box, to the left, brings down information on a specific flight. Arriving flights work in the same way.
The other option is the EL AL Arrivals & Departures screen, which prompts the user to pick an airport and select arrivals and departures. For example, selecting Toronto and departures brings up all scheduled departures from that airport.
FlightAware.com lets users search by airline. When pulling up EL AL, the screen shows a map of all flights in the air and a list of flights. Selecting a flight brings up a screen showing that flight's routing on the map, flight status and expected arrival time.
As an example of an airport search, Toronto Pearson International Airport has its Flight Search on the website's home page. Users either input a specific flight or browse the arrivals and departures list. Doing the latter leads to another screen where the search may be narrowed by selecting EL AL as the specific airline.
